Author Interview:
What drew you to writing romance in particular?\
What drew me into romance was watching it on the big screen and reading Nicholas Sparks’ books. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be able to create love stories that I saw in action, but here I am.
Can you tell us about your latest romance (other genre) and what inspired the story?
My latest book, Bound to Grace, is a forced-proximity forced-marriage between a billionaire and a mafia princess. The mafia princess, I just wanted to be normal and not deal with the mafia side of things, so she ran away to a small Texas town to work for a publishing house, where, by night, she can write her debut novel. There is a lot of spice intention in this book, but it will be a duet.
What advice would you give to aspiring authors?
Write the book and don’t let anybody tell you that you are not supposed to be an author. I had so many people discourage me in the beginning, and if I had listened to them, I wouldn’t be as happy as I am now.
Do you have any quirky writing habits or rituals?
My crazy riding rituals are that I must have an ice-cold Dr. Pepper, right by my bonus side, and I must be listening to either my rock ‘n’ roll playlist or my spicy book top playlist as I write.
What are you working on next?
I’m currently working on the second book in the duet series, because I’m never happy if I write a cliffhanger. I might be changing it up a bit, and there may not be a happily ever after we will see. It is in the very beginning stages, so nothing is guaranteed.
